Perodua and Maybank Islamic Berhad are partnering up to provide the country’s first Shariah-compliant agility financing plan, the Perodua Flexiplan, powered by Maybank Islamic myimpact Drive Financing-i.
A first for both companies, this financial plan is a bold new initiative, which empowers customers by creating a seamless and inclusive vehicle ownership journey. This innovative plan allows customers to enjoy:
>A highly competitive Murabahah Vehicle Term Financing deal which leads to a more affordable monthly payment over an initial five-year term
>Perodua will buy back the customer’s vehicle at a competitive price compared to market value for the purchase of a new Perodua model – terms and conditions apply
>Flexibility in ownership where customers may trade-in freely to a new model or keep the current vehicle with a revised payment plan.
Customers can choose between four models under the Perodua Flexiplan, which are the Myvi, Axia (not including the Axia E), Ativa, and Aruz.
At year 5 of the plan, customers have the option to trade-in their current Perodua vehicle for a new one, with the secured residual value used to offset the down payment and refreshing the five-year term.
Alternatively, customers can choose to retain their current vehicle by settling the outstanding balance or extending the financing for up to four more years under a revised payment plan.
Through its innovative mechanics, this plan enhances car ownership accessibility as well as also creates a structure where customers can change their vehicles conveniently for life’s big moments.
This new car ownership plan underscores Maybank Islamic’s position as Malaysia’s leading Islamic bank, consistently evolving to meet customer needs through innovative, purpose-driven solutions.
It further enhances the ecosystem of Shariah-compliant solutions for Perodua vehicle owners, which includes Perodua Total Protect Plus comprehensive takaful underwritten by Etiqa, which comes with an additional RM5,000 Special peril coverage, as well as the Credit Reducing Term Takaful as an added layer of protection for customers. Combined, these reflect Maybank Group’s commitment to values-based banking and championing customer centricity.
By offering a financial solution that is transparent, flexible, and customer-focused, both Perodua and Maybank Islamic aim to set a new benchmark for vehicle ownership in Malaysia, one that empowers customers and promotes long-term financial well-being.
